- The Parable of the Lost Son Luke 15:11-32 Tom 6.3
- The parable tells us about Jesus and God as well as other people because he has love and compassion for all his people just like the father and his sons.

- One day the younger brother wanted a share of the estate with his father so his father divided it between them equally.
- Look! All these yearsI’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me not even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
- One night the older brother went out for parties and wasted a lot of his dad's money. Then when he eventually ran completely out he hired himself to a citizen of that country to help feed pigs and tried to eat their food too.
- Your brother has come, your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound
- Then when the son eventually came to his senses he said to himself "How many of my father servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!" So he set out and travelled back to his father. Practising his lines, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son
- The father sees his son in the distance and ran to his son and threw his arm around him and gave a big kiss. But the son said "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son." But he ignored him and called his servants to get ready for a feast.
- While the king and his servants were having a feast the older son was in the field. So he came near the house and heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants to see what was going on.. So his brother started to get angry so he went to his father.
