Ella and Sadie's Adventure

- Sadie, I have to go to school, but I will come get you when I get out.
- One Friday morning Ella woke up for school. She bent down and told Sadie she'd be back as soon as she gets out and then they could go on an adventure.

- When is this day going to end!!!
- The school day seemed to last forever! All Ella could think about was when was it going to end? She was so excited to get home and get Sadie and start their adventure. She wasn't sure what they would do, but she knew they always had fun when they were together.

- I am going on an adventure with Sadie!!!
- What are you doing this weekend, Ella?
- Finally it was 3 o'clock! Ella raced out the door with her other classmates to catch the bus. In the bus line everyone was talking about their plans for the weekend.

- As soon as she got home she got Sadie and headed outside. They decided to play in the grassy meadow near the oak tree . As they were playing Ella spotted something shiny under some rocks.

- "Sadie, what do you think it is?" Ella asked. They ran over to get a closer look. It was a gold shiny key. Ella picked it up. "I wonder what this goes to?" Ella asked. All of a sudden a voice said , "walk to the field of flowers and there you will see a magic door."

- A little nervous, Sadie and Ella walked through the field and to the door. With a shaky hand Ella put the key in the door and turned it. The door slowly creaked open. Ella and Sadie's hearts were beating out of their chests.

- When they entered they could not believe their eyes! It was beautiful! Everything was made out of candy. Sadie ran up and started liking a lollipop. Ella was in disbelief. She had never seen anything like it.

- Ella and Sadie decided to explore. As they walked through the Candy Land they stopped and tasted all kinds of sweet treats. This was the best day ever! Then all of a sudden a white rabbit came down a tube in the middle of the river. Ella said, "Sadie get back, I think we are in trouble!".

- The rabbit stepped out of the tube. He could tell we were frightened. He said, "Do not worry. You are safe here. This is Kindness Land. It has seemed that the outside world has forgotten how to be kind. We haven't had visitors here in so long. I am so glad you are here. My name is Ralph." "Nice to meet you Ralph, I am Ella and this is my dog Sadie. We found the key in the meadow and a voice told us where to go."

- "Please stay and explore. You may have whatever treats you desire. I ask one thing of you though," Says Ralph. "When you return home spread kindness to whomever you see." "Of course we will!" said Ella. "Very well then, enjoy your visit and return anytime you'd like," said Ralph.

- That night when Ella and Sadie returned home, Ella could not believe the adventure she had that day. She could not wait to tell her friends all about it. As she laid in bed she thought of all the ways she could show kindness to others.
