Storyboard Text

  • Would you like to have dinner with me on Friday?
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! OMG YES!
  • The first time I met you... It was love at first sight. Your biceps, that is... You were standing in the doorway with your big shoulders, but I was pretending not to see you because I was too awkward to flirt.
  • I tried to talk to you, but I can't flirt. So I took a selfie for the scavenger hunt at the bar. And that's all the bravery I could muster. With arms like yours, I was way out of my league.
  • But then you added me on Facebook and started messaging me. And then you even started texting me. And finally, you asked me to dinner! There's a chance I did a happy dance that day.
  • It was one of the easiest first dates ever, and talking to you was so easy and fun. I knew you and I could have a lot of fun together. Plus, your arms were looking as delicious as ever even after the injury.
  • For our second date, we went to see the Avengers. I was hoping you would make out with me like a teenager in the movie theater. Instead, I settled for holding hands. And when you walked me to my door, I was so disappointed you didn't want to come in.
  • Quit fornicating and get ready for church!
  • But it was definitely okay, because the next time I saw you.... OOOHH EMMMM GEEEEE. We had a few drinks, and we definitely couldn't drive home. Next thing I knew...
  • Holy shit. I didn't know that could happen.
  • And things only got better from there. Late night visits, weekends spent in bed.
  • It was so much fun getting to know you, and having breakfast dates, and doing all these fun things I had never done with a boyfriend before.
  • Ughhh
  • Of course, we both knew I had commitment issues, and I was afraid to let you get to close. So I tried to keep you at arms reach, so I wouldn't have to feel too much.
  • But despite being afraid of getting to close, I knew you were something special. Gravel roads, beer, and midnight Taco Bell. These were the things in life I didn't know I wanted.
  • On your birthday, you took me out to the hill. I had a little too much to drink, and shared a little too much about my feelings for you. And in that moment, leaning on the back of your car, beer in my hand, I knew it would be much harder to forget you than I anticipated.
  • And I told you I loved you, and things started to feel more natural with you.
  • And then you were helping with the kids, and playing at the park. We were turning into a happy family. The boys loved having you come over, and chasing them at the park.
  • And when you moved in, it was like it was finally happening. I could see you as much as I wanted, and we could eat dinner together. And there was all the cuddling I could ever want.
  • And you made really good breakfast! I discovered that eggs are actually delicious. And you showed me how good sausage could be (Giggity!).
  • Then the pressure was on. You were ready, but I was still scared of getting married. I knew you were the one, but it took some time before I was ready.
  • Finally, we cut the tension and you asked me. Yes! And things were better than ever. We were finally where we both wanted to be, and we were ready to commit ourselves to each other forever.
  • YES!
  • Wedding planning was awful. It was almost fun, but it also sucked. BAD.
  • Finally, the wait was over! The day was here and we were finally married!
  • We took a beautiful honeymoon. We were mountain-bound. We drove...
  • and drove...
  • and drove some more until we FINALLY arrived to really celebrate our marriage (and the fact we didn't have to plan a wedding anymore).
  • There was plenty of time in the hot tub, a little wine, and catching up on sleep we had missed through all the wedding planning. It was the perfect honeymoon.
  • And here we are, with our amazing little family. Living happily ever after.
