- we were very poor back in Magestia after the queen, Queen Ruth died. That death caused a series of uprisings and ultimately ended up starting a war, because none of the queen's family was alive...
- ...Except me. Well, us as in my family. It was my mother and I, and my dad, Queen Ruth's son.
- A long time ago my father used his royal position to the full. He used to be good in heart! He married my mother, a mere peasant slave girl whose family was about to be hung because of them not working in the feild that day, only because the heat was so scorching, it gave people fevers! My dad used his position to save them and then married my mother. They had me too. But then his great aunt, queen Ruth's fake mother , kidnapper, and aunt, told him of his benefits and persuaded him to sell us into slavery and get himself higher up the royal chain.
- After 3 years of harsh labor, we finally escaped, and found our village again! We once again made a home there.
- I lived in the village and started a whole new life there. I had neighborhood and everything. Life was hard, but what I always remembered was that I had my mom. Our neighbors were nice and understanding too. When we needed food, they would always give us fresh bread and milk. It haunted me every night about the day my dad left me. It made me scared the same would happen to my mom, so I always stayed close to her.
- But then, one day as I got home from the well with fresh water, something happened that would change my future stand in the royal family forever...
