- Jefferys parents went on a train and died so he was sent to live with his aunt and uncle. Jerry runs away and finds a girl named Amanda and he was being very persistent and borrowed a book from her. jeffery went to a littleleague game and beat McNab. McNab was afraid of his reputation so he went with his friends the Cobras to go beat up Jeffery. But he ran away to the east end and they didn't follow him they just laughed . Jeffery ran into a kid named Mars Bar. He took Amanda's book from him and said it was now his. Jeffery rippedthe book back from his hands but there was still a page left in MarsBars hands. A woman told Mars bar to then give the page back.
