Hello, My name is Mya and today i am going to show you the three different types of rocks (the rock cycle)
The first type of rock is the Igneous rock which is formed when hot molten rock crystallises and solidifies.
intrusive igneous rocks form at a depth within the crust due to slow cooling of magma, resulting in formation of large crystals.
There are two groups of Igneous rocks, intrusive and extrusive, which depends on wether the molten rock solidifies.
The second rock is the sedimentary rock which is formed by pre - existing rocks or pieces of once-living organism that accumulate on the earths surface. If sediment is buried deeply, it becomes compacted and cemented which forms a sedimentary rock.
Sedimentary rocks can have little crystal particles but not every sedimentary rock has crystals.
A sedimentary rock is a non renewable source because rocks take a very long time to form properly.
