Wow! If only I could get my work done as fast as boxer does...
An allegory is a story that includes both literal and figurative meanings. Animal farm is an example of an allegory because it's one big metaphor for the Russian Revolution and the rise of communism. Orwell wrote this novel to express the idea that communism, although sounds good in theory, would never actually work.
Irony Analysis
A bed merely means a place to sleep in... The rule was against sheets, which are a human invention. We have removed the sheets from the farmhouse beds, and sleep between blankets.
Squealer, the pig, best represents Pravda, a newspaper that used propaganda as a form of control in the Soviet Union. Both Squealer and the newspaper used effective communication to take control of an entire population. Furthermore, both of them paint the allusion that they are one with the people.
Theme Analysis
BEFORE
AFTER
Rocky Balboa, the famous fictional boxer, is the best representation of Boxer, the horse, from "Animal Farm." Boxer and Rocky are both very strong, diligent characters. However, they lack much mental intelligence. Additionally, they both act as role models to their peers.
Dystopia Connection
Now, this is a democracy so, everyone gets a chance to vote on who our leader will be!... but Napolean is the only one who's running
In chapter six, two types of irony can be found; dramatic and verbal. The interaction can be described as dramatic irony, because Clover thought that the law was the same the whole time. However, the reader knows that the pigs reformed the law. Verbal irony can also be found within that same interaction when Squealer refers to their bedding as blankets instead of sheets, when blankets and sheets are essentially the same thing.
A theme that is evident in the novel, "Animal Farm" is "History is bound to repeat itself if we don't learn from our mistakes." This is shown throughout the text when the pigs wind up making the conditions of the farm worse than they were originally, when Mr. Jones was in charge. By the end of the story, the pigs act as if they themselves are humans.

Don't stop working!
"Animal Farm" resembles a dystopian society. Like a dystopian society, everything in "Animal Farm" is unpleasant. The government controls the people in a dystopian society. Likewise, the pigs control the animals without them realizing it.
Seems fair to me!
This is so much better than when Mr. Jones was here!
