- This is Johnquavious Dinglebottom (John for short), He is a car salesman living in New York but he is confused because the typically crowded streets have no one to be found!The world was recently put on hold due to the rise of COVID-19The national GDP is way down, unemployment rates are way up,no one has the money to support their lifestyle, the economy is at it's worst in the past few years, they are in a trough.
- 3 Months later...The economy is doing great! Ever since COVID has died down, the economy has been on a steady rise. Unemployment rates are low and GDP is high! Interest rates are higher so John is making more and doing better than ever! People now have the money to afford vehicles and they are coming to his dealership, purchasing vehicles, and he is making a livable wage again. The entire lot is empty, even the boat without a motor (just imagine it's not there) was bought and driven off the lot! Don't ask, even John doesn't know how he got the thing to move...

- All good things must come to an end. The economy is on a decline, otherwise known as contraction. Unemployment rates are on the rise and the GDP is declining. The dollar is maintaining its value quite well since the country is on a decline but a lot of people are not doing so great financially, that's why all the lights are turned off. Luckily for John, he took advantage of the economic opportunity that came with a peak, maybe some lucky few will buy stocks while they are low to sell high when they rise!
