  • The French and the English fought so often, which lead to the names of their wars being named for how long the war went on.
  • History of the Anglo-Franco Conflict
  • The French enlisted some Native Americans to help them fight against the British. This was around the time George Washington was defeated while trying to create fort Necessity
  • War begins in North America
  • Later British Military Success
  • As the English colonies got closer to the French, tensions rose between the two. However, the French and Indian war started over the Ohio River Valley
  • Clash of exapnding empires
  • The British planned to attack the French forts in 1755. However, the French were hiding behind trees and many British soldiers died in the conflict.
  • Early French Military Success
  • The British stopped the French from getting supplies which lead to a British success.
  • The Spanish and the British worked out a deal in which the Spanish would give back part of Florida in exchnage for part of Cuba. The French were forced to leave North America, and only had their islands in the Caribbean.
