The Whites are told by sergeant major Morris that the paw is dangerous, but they assume it's a joke. Mrs. White, on the other hand, is highly concerned about the potential that this is true.
CLIMAX
It moved!!
Herbert decides he wants to use the Monkey's Paw to wish for 200 pounds. Mr. White wants him to wish to be an emperor, while Mrs. White wants it to be used for something useful.
MY SON!!
Oh my god, t-the Paw! It’s real I-
Your son got stuck in the machinery, although the company is willing to give 200 pounds as compensation.
In this scene, Mr. White really doesn't want to wish for his son back, but meanwhile, Mrs. White is begging him to wish for Herbert back.
RESOLUTION
This scene shows when Mr. White notices that the Monkey’s Paw moves, but everyone else thinks he just shivered, or something.
This scene demonstrates the White family realizing that the paw can do real damage, and they really need to start being more careful of what they’re wishing for.
RISING ACTION
In this scene, it demonstrates that Mr. White used his last wish, as sadness and grief lingers in the household, as it lays dark and boring. It demonstrates that the White family could not take the consequences, and had to make the last wish.
