- The Boston Tea Party happened because, the colonist did not want to pay taxes on British imports. The colonist were afraid Britain would take over America. They wanted to be in control of their own.
- The stamp act put taxes on printed materials. For example newspapers books and contracts. This made it hard for education to be taught and news to be heard.
- The townshend act put unnecessary taxes on glass, paper, paint, and more. This made it hard for people who didn't have a lot of money to get these items
- The Boston Massacre took place on March 5th, 1770 when an argument broke out between British private Hugh White and some colonists. The argument grew bigger as more colonist joined in and started to harass and throw sticks.
- The French and Indian war gave Great Britain more territorial gains in North America. There were disputes and paying the war's expenses led to colonial discontent and overall the American Revolution.
