the protagonist in this biography is Don Taylor telling Bob Marley's story.
the book setting takes place in Nine Mile, Jamaica.
At the time in Jamia general elections were held in on 30 October 1980. The balance of power in the 60-seat Jamaican House of Representatives was dramatically-shifted. … With the loss by 38 PNP incumbents to their JLP challengers, Seagal's party captured a 51 to 9 majority and Seagal replaced Manley as Prime Minister of Jamaica.
One of the conflicts that Don Taylor faced was that he was shot and has been mistaken for Bob Marley so he was in the hospital while Marley was on his tour.
I believe that the author’s message was to show a side of Bob Marley’s story that was never told. Because what I learned from the book was how dangerous Jamaica was and how Marley’s manager was shot because bad people wanted Bob dead.
Either by good fortune or poor aim, the bullet aimed at Marley skidded off his chest, lodging in his arm rather while wife Rita, although shot in the head while disembarking from a vehicle, survived the hit. Marley's manager Don Taylor sustained serious injuries from being shot in the leg,
many people did not have right to speak up an were offend killed by locals or the Jamaican Government.
Taylor does capture Bob Marley's navigation of Jamaica's incendiary political landscape in the 1970s, and the story of the attempt on Marley's life is well told (Taylor was seriously injured in the attempt).
A way this book relates to me is the way as bob Marley was improving in the music worldAnd being signed early on in his career. It relates to me a lot as well as though that I'm signed as well that both of us has different music genres we both have same intentions to make music and piece in the world.
