Storyboard Text

  • Slide: 1
  • Every evening at 8:15, the last bus stopped at the small bus station in Greenhill. It was never full. Most days, only a few people waited there: a tired nurse, a quiet old man, and sometimes a student who had missed an earlier bus.
  • Slide: 2
  • Liam was new in town.He had moved to Greenhill two months ago for work, and he still felt like a stranger. The town was calm, almost too calm. After work, the streets became empty, and the shops closed early.
  • Slide: 3
  • That evening, Liam arrived at the bus station late.He looked at the clock: 8:14.“One more minute,” he said to himself and started running. The bus was already there. Its lights were on, and the driver was about to close the door.“Wait!” Liam shouted, waving his arm.
  • Slide: 4
  • The driver saw him and stopped.Liam climbed onto the bus, breathing heavily.“Thank you,” he said. The driver nodded. “You’re lucky. This is the last bus.”Liam smiled and paid his fare. He walked to the back and sat by the window.
  • Slide: 5
  • Only two other passengers were on the bus.An old man sat near the front. He wore a long brown coat and held a small box on his lap.Behind him sat a young woman with headphones. She was looking out the window, lost in thought. The bus started moving.
  • Slide: 6
  • Outside, the town slowly disappeared. Streetlights passed one by one. The road became darker, and trees replaced buildings. After a few minutes, the bus suddenly slowed down.“That’s strange,” Liam thought. The bus stopped near a small park. No one had pressed the stop button.
  • Slide: 7
  • The old man stood up.“This is my stop,” he said calmly. The driver looked surprised. “I don’t usually stop here.”“You did before,” the old man replied gently. The driver paused, then opened the door.
  • Slide: 8
  • The old man walked off the bus. Before leaving, he turned to Liam.“Good luck,” he said with a soft smile. The door closed, and the bus continued.Liam felt confused. He had never seen a bus stop there before.
  • Slide: 9
  • A few minutes later, the young woman stood up.“This is my stop,” she said.“But we’re not near any houses,” the driver said. She smiled. “I know.”
  • Slide: 10
  • The bus stopped again. She stepped down and looked back at Liam.“Don’t be afraid of quiet places,” she said. Then she walked into the darkness.
  • Slide: 11
  • Now Liam was the only passenger. He felt uncomfortable. The bus felt too big and too silent. The driver looked at him through the mirror.“Your stop is the last one,” he said.Liam nodded, but his heart was beating faster. The bus drove for several more minutes. Then it stopped for the final time.“This is it,” the driver said.
  • Slide: 12
  • Liam stood up and walked toward the door. Before he stepped out, he turned around.“Can I ask you something?” he said. The driver smiled. “You can.”“Why did you stop for them?” Liam asked. “Those weren’t real stops.”The driver opened the door but did not answer immediately.“Everyone gets off where they need to,” he said finally.“Even if it’s not on the map.”
  • Slide: 13
  • Liam stepped outside.
  • Slide: 14
  • The bus drove away, leaving him alone on a quiet road. For a moment, he felt scared. Then he noticed something familiar.
  • Slide: 15
  • Ahead of him was his apartment building. He laughed quietly.“I guess this was my stop,” he said.As he walked home, the night felt different. Not empty.Just peaceful. And for the first time since moving to Greenhill, Liam felt like he belonged.
