  • Locke
  • I like your sentiments madam. Yes, everyone has reason. Its in natural law, everything is obtained through reason. Also, man is shaped by experience, we are all born blank, it is simply society that ruins some.
  • Rousseau
  • My esteemed gentlemen, might we consider that women too have reason? If reason is inside everyone, then do women not have reason too? Mind has no gender after all.
  • Locke, while I do agree with you good sir. Reason is the way and natural law mustn't be disturbed but women should not be educated. Man is above women.
  • Wollstonecraft
  • Voltaire
  • I quite admire your book, The Encyclopedie, Diderot. I particularly enjoyed the parts about religious tolerance. We must be able to accept everyone as its the only way that we can develop, if we fight each other, we will get nowhere.
  • Why thank you. I agree, to advance we must be one. But I must add that to advance, everyone needs to understand these ideals of tolerance.
  • Diderot
  • Gentlemen, it my upmost opinion, the idea of absolutism is foolish. The monarch controls everything, which increases monopolies and restricts trade. I suggest no government involvement. They should only be concerned with military, police, and infrastructure
  • Smith
  • Beccaria
  • I agree my good man. If the monarch is absolute, then there can be no checks and balances. One person cannot have that much power, someone must be able to balance the power of the monarch. Say a separate legislative branch
  • I agree with both of you. If the monarch is absolute, then public executions will not be abolished. They are of the old way, not enlightening.
  • Montesquieu
