Yes my astrolabe it works, this is going to help many people.
Maryam's father, al-ʻIjliyy al-Asturlabī was an Astrolabist
Maryam I have come personally here to tell you that you have the opportunity to be part of the court of Aleppo.
Yes, of course your highness. Jazzakallah
As Maryam grew up she became more and more interested in astronomy as she would listen to all the stories her father would tell her
I am going to call this belt Al-'ljliya after Maryam Al-Ijliya
When Maryam grew up , she became an astrolabist just like her father and she invented the astrolabe which was a device that would help determine the position of the sun, moon, planets and stars.
This invention did not only help others but her too.The ruler of Aleppo, Sayf Al Dawla invited her to be in the court of Aleppo because he was so amazed by her invention of the astrolabe.
Maryam was known as the only female astronomer in ancient Islam. She was even recognized when the main-belt asteroid 7060 Al-‘Ijliya, discovered by Henry E. Holt at Palomar Observatory in 1990, was named after her.
