Storyboard Text

  • In 1137, Eleanor of Aquitaine married her first husband: Louis VII of France.
  • Of course I do I love him.
  • Do you take each other as your partner for life?
  • Yes, I do.
  • If I stayed with you I would have nobody to continue my bloodline. This is all your fault for not giving me any sons!
  • You are officially no longer husband and wife.
  • Eleanor was only giving birth to daughters and all her husband wanted was sons to continue his bloodline, so their marriage was annulled by the Pope.
  • I did NOTHING wrong!
  • I love you Eleanor.
  • Eleanor then marries her second husband, Henry, in 1152 who later on becomes the King of England.
  • I love you more Henry.
  • I can't believe we managed to be blessed with not only one, but two sons!! They shall be named Richard and John.
  • After not having any sons with Louis VII, Eleanor gives birth to two sons named John and Richard who would become the future kings of England.
  • Two decades later, Eleanor convinces her sons to rebel against Henry because of how he constantly cheated on her and only used her to make children.
  • Okay mom, we understand and we will.
  • My dear sons, I love you more than anything in this world and your father has been mistreating me for years. Therefore, you must help me rebel.
  • My love please forgive me I'm so sorry for my actions. This will never happen again just please let me go.
  • Ultimately, Henry puts down the rebellion and imprisons Eleanor in a guarded tower for 15 years.
  • No you betrayed me and tried to get our sons to turn against me, I can not forgive you. Goodbye Eleanor.
