- mom how did they ban personal electronics from school
- let me tell you how the electronics ban got passed through congress

- people where complaining that their kids weren't paying attention so they called the local congress man
- I say we call our congress man and ask for a law banning them
- my kid hasn't been paying attention due to those electronics

- then the local congress men rights up a bill and sends it up to the house of representatives
- you want a law banning electronics from schools because of your kids not paying attention?
- no problem let me write down a bill to send to congress

- the bill arrives at the capitol building and goes to the house of reps

- the house sends the bill to a education committee
- Slide: 6
- in the standing committee for education
- and it could help raise our students grades
- a ban on personal electronics could help our schools
- I think it would be a great idea

- after the committee finishes the edits it gets sent back to the house for a vote
- after looking over the bill we have voted to pass it

- after the house votes the bill goes to Senate and goes through process again and see if they want to change anything
- after careful consideration we have decided that we will pass the bill

- after the Senate votes the president can veto the bill, sign the bill or pocket veto it
- a bill to ban personal devices in school can help with out students education
- this would be a good law

- because of that vote the public policy issue of banning electronics from school became a law
