Storyboard Text

  • Macbeth paces and has an internal battle whether to kill the king or not. This decision will ultimately change his life for good or for worse. Lady Macbeth still manipulating him. "If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well / It were done quickly."
  • Do I kill him or not, these thoughts plague my conscience!
  • Be a man and do it! Have some backbone! Dont be a baby!
  • Ross and the Captain inform the king of what the events on the battlefield. They inform him that the traitor Macdonwald was killed by Macbeth in an intense battle. The king then gives Macbeth the title of Thane of Cawdor. "Till he unseamed him from the nave to th' chops, / And fixed his head upon our battlements."
  • Make Macbeth the Thane of Cawdor!
  • The traitorous Thane of Cawdor is against us!
  • As we were about to lost the battle, Macbeth had overpowered the enemy and cut down MacDonwald.
  • The three witches meet where they said they would previously and give Macbeth his fate/future. They declare him Thane of Glamis, Cawdor and to be king. Macbeth is confused. "So foul and fair a day I have not seen."
  • Look! Thane of Glamis!
  • Thane of Cawdor!
  • And KING hereafter!
  • What?!
  • The King announces that his son Malcom will be the next king in line and that they will be staying at Macbeths castle Inverness. "Our eldest, Malcom, whom we name hereafter / The Prince of Cumberland-"
  • Thank you father.
  • I declare my son Malcom, the next heir to the throne. Macbeth we shall stay at your castle tonight.
  • I shall inform my wife.
  • Lady Macbeth is informed of what the witches told Macbeth. She believes her husband to be too weak and lacking the will and resolve to do what she believes to be the quickest way to the throne. She then tries to decieve and manipulate him into killing the king, and says, "Come, you spirits / That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, / And fill me, from the crown to the toe, top-full / Of direst cruelty!"
  • Gods fill me the cruelty and will to complete this task!
  • Macbeth hath been prohpesized to be king, another still rules . . .
  • Wife, the King and his son are staying the night here at our castle.
  • King Duncan arrives at Inverness, and enjoys the castle deeply. Lady Macbeth uses this time to butter up the king and deceive him into thinking they are loyal and faithful to the king. "This castle a pleasant seat, the air / Nimbly and sweetly recommends itself / Unto our gentle senses."
  • This castle has such a lovely feel too it!
  • We are your LOYAL servants my king we pray for you.
