I was a freelance musician in the 1750s. The beauty, order and clarity of my compositions made my music elegant.
My name is Joseph Haydn. I was a choirboy and studied at Saint Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna.
Some of my most remarkable work includes the London Symphonies, the Cello Concert No. 2 and Trumpet Concert among many others.
From 1761-1790 I was the musical director for the Hungarian Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy's court. I conducted his personal orchestra.
I had very profitable public concert in the 1790s. I was very prolific and first to use Theme and variations in symphony.
My first performance was so good that the audience cheered and demanded that it be played again.
