- Yes, it is true. Uncle must be called on to maintain family relations and receive news from the people back home.
- Yesterday...
- Where are they? Where are Mangiring and Mona?
- For the umpteenth time Sahala called saying:
- He questions himself why Mona, his wife, always wash dishes every time he wakes up from his Sunday afternoon nap? But is it not the sound of disarray that has awakened him? When he has finished making his bed, he heads and opens his wardrobe to take out his pants
- Mangiring hears familiar sounds from the kitchen while he makes his bed-
- Hmm. How many years has he heard those sounds? Strange. Yes, strange.
- Present day..
- He wanted to wear his new pants, but he couldn't find them
- It was in the backyard yesterday, until it went raining.
- Mangiring hurried to the kitchen and asks Mona about his pants, but soon replied that his pants were flown to the other side, in their neighbor's backyard. He began to grumble about his neighbor but Mona tells Mangiring to take a bath; which he willingly obeyed. He went to the bathroom angrily and hisses while his neighbor laughed behind his back; as of what Mangiring heard.
- Suddenly, he remembers that he wore them yesterday and washed them.
- He hurriedly searches through his clothes, but is still isn't there. Where..Where are they?
- He starts bathing. Splash after splash of cool pump water soothes his feelings. Then, he soaps. Meanwhile, he imagines sights and experiences which will happen once he leaves home.
- He start predicting each scene, a scene that'll happen around every other Sunday; somewhat being social towards other neighbors, passing through stores and heading towards the bus station. He would be able to reach to Sahala in no time. But as he's about to leave the bathroom, he started to think his whole conversation with his Uncle if he did visited him.
- He imagines the scenes on what will happen if he's gonna visit his Uncle.
- But he begins to doubt about their whole meeting.
- As he asks his wife about some questions on what he'll say to his Uncle, Mona steals a glance at him, while keeping her hands busy combing her hair.
- So? What amount should I mention?
- Mangiring starts to overthink and asks Mona upon entering the bedroom.
- And as he dries his body, he remembers his Uncle's visit to Jakarta. His brain starts to guess how the meeting and dialog with Uncle will be. Maybe like "How are you?" or "How is home?" or "How are the rice fields?"
- Just say so much...
- Better go next week...
- As Mangiring began to continue questioning his wife,
- Since Mangiring kept on overthinking scenes and is very nervous to see his Uncle, Mona let's him decide because she too is unsure of going. In the end they didn't plan to visit and warned themselves this is the 2nd time they didn't get to visit Uncle Sahala.
