- Outside the House
- Lady is downcast
- The Lady makes a decision
- Wideshot shows the house. A mailman puts mail in the mailbox and walks away. Then there is a cut to closer to the house as the mailman walks away. The shot goes through the window
- The Lady makes brownies... until
- The aforementioned shot follows the woman as she gets the mail and she walks to the dining room and sits down. In a shot with the camera behind her shoulder, she looks at the mail. Then it cuts to the same scene at a different angle, she is distressed when she sees the bills and how expensive they are. Then there is the sound of a box falling.
- The Lady Sells Brownies
- The camera cuts to various angles as the lady walks from the dining room to the kitchen. She sees boxes of brownie mix, which she picks up (in an over the shoulder shot). She decides to make brownies with the mix.
- The Lady is defamed
- The lady makes brownies and then puts them in the oven. After a transition she takes them out again, and they are finished. She hears a doorbell, and from various angles the camera watches her go and open the door. At the door is a man who says he is willing to pay for some of the brownies after he smelled them. The lady convinces the man to pay a steep price for the brownies. After the exchange, the man leaves and the lady closes the door. She has an idea to sell the brownies but claim they are homemade.
- The next day, the lady sells brownies to a gentleman, and this is followed by a montage of various hands giving her money in exchange for brownies. The scene finishes with the man from yesterday returning and buying more brownies. However, as he throws away the paper plate the brownie was on, he sees the brownie mix box in the trash can. He pretends to not have noticed and as he walks away, he calls a news company to tell them about the lady lying about the brownies being homemade.
- A person on the news introduces the claim that the lady has been lying about her brownies being homemade, and he cuts to a reporter at the lady's front door. The lady opens the door, and when the reporter asks her about the claim, she tells the truth. However, she explains she did it to pay her bills. Then it cuts back to the newsroom, with the newsperson ignoring the last part and painting her as a villain.
