I wonder what they do to create such high quality music?
Slide: 5
Is it really that simple?
Slide: 7
During a period of time I really took an interest in music made by independent creators on platforms like soundcloud, and became fascinated in how they manage to create such high quality such little material.
Slide: 8
I then took it upon myself to figure out what allows these creators to create music so easily and professionally.
This is super simple!
Slide: 9
I looked up on Google and commented on the independent creator's songs asking what they used and what I needed to try and do this for myself.
...
Slide: 10
I eventually came to the conclusion from Google searching, and getting responses from creators that you only need 2 basic programs. A DAW, and Intrument plugins.
Let me try for myself now.
Slide: 11
With my new knowledge, I spent some time chatting with the music creator asking how they use the DAW, and what plugins they recommended
Slide: 12
The music creator recommended I look at videos on how to use fl studio to help me get started, and so I did.
Slide: 13
After watching a few more tutorials and ending my conversation with the music creator, I gained a new understanding of the DAW fl studio.
Slide: 14
The music creator also recommended I spent some more time listening to a variety of music to try to understand how all the aspects of it work together, and to just get a better understanding of music in general.
I wonder if they'll like it?
Slide: 15
And so, after spending time looking at music theory videos, and listening to songs. I then downloaded the DAW.
at least they said it was ok..
Slide: 16
I downloaded a variety of VST plugins like a piano and guitar VST, and used it to make my first song.
Then I created my 2nd song, which was not much better than the first, but it showed I gained a better understanding of music theory concepts.
Slide: 17
and with that, my first song was basically finished, it was short and also not very good, but it was a first step.
I made more songs, and got feedback from more people on it by posting my work in public forums.
Slide: 18
I took my song and began asking my friends what their thoughts on it were
Hopefully I can improve.
The feedback I got encouraged me to continue learning and improving my work
Slide: 19
They didn't exactly like it since it very unorganized and, bad. But they gave me enough criticism to help me with my next songs.
If they can do it, so can I.
So I made music everyday I could.
Slide: 20
I then watched some more in depth music theory videos to expand my knowledge.
And so I eventually got to a level I was happy with, and my work paid off
