  • Fossil Fuels and Gases
  • Warmer Climate
  • Grasslands at their best
  • Vehicles such as cars are used in our everyday life. And we use them nearly every day of the week. Little did we know, that using cars and vehicles with fossil fuel emissions, it's actually making the world unhealthy and unstable. There are roughly 7.8 billion people in the world today, and roughly 1.8 billion cars. There are however solutions to this problem. Electric cars have been recently introduced, and they are totally dependent on fossil fuels.
  • Drought and Loss
  • Now, what happens when the fossil fuels and gases flow into the air? When fossil fuels are burned in our cars and vehicles, they release large amounts of carbon dioxide. After the greenhouse gases trap heat into the atmosphere, which largely contributes to a warming climate. This is one of earths greatest challenges so far, and only humans have the opportunity to fix it. The major problem is, that there will be a stage in time where we cannot fix our planet warming, and we have to stop.
  • Extinction
  • How else can fossil fuels and a warming climate affect us? Animals all around the earth sustain a healthy eco-system that we enjoy today, but without them, things will take turn for the worst. The food chain shows how all animals are connected in the environment and how they need each other to live. For example, a sustainable lion population will keep the population of herbivores to a healthy amount, which keeps the grass from being overgrazed, and the water amounts balanced.
  • News and Disappointment
  • Mass Extinction In Southern Africa#160;
  • However, wildernesses with vast amounts of life are seeing the worst droughts in history, which kills animals and life. The vast heat affects the water and plants which effects the herbivores, then the predators will have nothing to eat, causing the food chain to collapse. Even though animals have the ability to adapt to new environments, they cannot do this fast, and would take thousands of years.
  • Mass extinctions are occurring more frequently then ever, and animals are disappearing fast around the world. An example of this is when the fires happened in Australia, in 2020. And over half of the koala population disappeared. From 80,000 individuals to only 32,000-57,000 thousand left. Not to mention all the other native animals that were seriously effected. It was very disappointing to see a symbol of Australia being wiped out because of human actions and needs.
  • Extinction is not only bad for the animals that are affected. Many humans around the world have deep connections to wildlife and the natural environment that is left. Also, many people that are looking for jobs when they are older, evolving a natural environment, will be extremely disappointing.
  • Rob! Did you hear that there is a mass extinction occurring in southern Africa because of humans!
  • What! Animals are my life! I want to work with them when I'm older! This makes me sad to think that they are being effected because of human actions
