Yes of course. The official language of Greece is Modern Greek, but a minority speaks some Albanian, Turkish, and Macedonian. It is of Indo-European origin. It evolved directly from Classical Greek of antiquity. These languages also came from neighboring countries through migration in the region.

Greek uses the Greek alphabet. It has 24 letters from Alpha to Omega. People also speak other languages in Greece: Albanian (4.4%), Romani (2.0%), Turkish (1.2%), Aromanian (0.2%), and Macedonian (0.1%)

In schools, 100% of classes are in Greek. All children must learn English too. And yes, almost everyone can read and write. That is 97.9% of the people. Only a few people can't. I am going home. Bye!
