- James is a wealthy teen, too kind for his own good. His family is quite the opposite however.

- Positively trembling with excitement, Emily made her way to the door to scare James as he walks in. James looks flustered and is not surprised to see Emily standing there cracking up, her smile revealing those dimples at the sides of her cheeks.
- This is Emily, and she's a ball of sunshine with a less fancy life, and her dad left her and her mom soon after her diagnosis. James and her were the best of friends, they made each other smile and laugh every day, and brought joy into each other’s not-so-merry lives.
- BOO!
- That was 8 years ago. It's been almost 11 years since Emily was diagnosed. t rough time. She’s well and recovered now, but her journey still haunts her to this day. It's not something you can forget that easily.
- It’s been a formidable couple of years since James left. Emily’s mom is not, nor ever was so close to her, and James was her only support system, and she was his. They had the connection that allowed them to just let go of any worry and live in the utopia they created when together.
