They all assure their credibility and authority by providing their schooling and/or the amount of years they have successfully held their position. This gives them trust from the audience/listeners because they prove themselves reliable.

  • This is an example of logos, an appeal to logic and reason, used to persuade an audience through facts, figures, and logical argumentation. The doctor backs up her reason and diagnosis with research she gathered from a trusted source that provides logical evidence.

  • This is what happens when you don't adopt a dog from Ellas Dog Clinic.. They end up sad, lonely and heartbroken on the street. *que sad song*
  • This is an example of ethos, an appeal to the speaker or writer's credibility, character, and authority. The TV commercial uses ethos to their advantage to evoke sad emotions from the listeners by showing sad images of dogs on the streets, attempting to convince someone to buy/adopt a dog from the clinic.
