- For Colombians Christmas starts on the 7th of December and ends on the 6th of January.During New years there are many different traditions that Colombians participate in. For example, eat 12 grapes at midnight or fill your pockets with lentils.
- THESIS: While Colombian culture has its many ways of identity its traditions, sports, and cartels have shaped Colombia's worldviews to be one of traditions and pride.
- "During the new year we like to celebrate doing many traditions like eating 12 grapes during midnight"
- During 1994 the world cup group stage had started and It was Colombia's turn against The U.S.. During this game a player named Andres Escobar had unfortunately scored a goal against Colombia. Causing them to lose and get eliminated 2-1. He was shot and killed outside a Medellin, Colombia nightclub days after he scored his own goal.
- "Please, let's maintain respect," Andrés Escobar wrote. "A big hug for everyone, and let me say it was a phenomenal opportunity and experience, a rare one, which I've never felt before in my life. "life doesn't end here."
- Many people know Colombia because of the many Cartels it has/had. Leading to many sterotypes.
- Pablo Escobar became a Colombian criminal who was the head of the Medellin cartel. He became the king of cocaine and was worth approximately $25 billion. It also mentions that he does not do all bad with his money. But on December 2, 1993 he was shot by Colombian forces.
