  • Tyler was having the time of his life without his mom
  • One morning Tyler was being an annoying little kid and decided to go to the park without telling his mom
  • It's so peaceful today.
  • luckily Tyler had a very sweet and non abusive mom who was also a doctor; she was about to explain everything
  • And it was peaceful, until Tyler fell and got what he deserved. Then Tyler's moms mommy sense started to tingle.
  • Tyler was bleeding, not severely but just enough
  • ENTER: MOM
  • First your receptors sense the tear in the blood vessel. Then an afferent signal is sent to the control center which sends and efferent signal to the area, then platelets in your blood adhere to the opening and continue sending chemicals to attract more platelets until finally the cut is closed keeping anymore blood from leaving the body.
  • The 2 injuries that you got after playing are a scrape and a small cut. Luckily because they are both minor they can both be healed fairly easily
  • Fun Fact: Scabs are actually dried up platelets
  • What makes this possible is the ability that your blood has to clot with a special cell in your blood called thrombocytes aka platelets
  • Tyler has been on a journey with very little water and (he doesn't think very far into the future) however he is a human and his body possesses the ability of osmoregulation
  • I'm so exhausted and thirsty
  • A short while ago somewhere in the Sahara Desert
  • The ADH (effector) reaches the kidneys through the bloodstream signaling to reabsorb more water into blood.
  • First we begin with Tylers body receiving the heat stimulus from outside reaching brain (control center) realizing that Tyler is dehydrated. This efferent signal sends ADH through the bloodstream.
  • I'm really so dehydrated, I haven't had water in ages
  • Can it even get hotter than this?
  • Barely any water leaves the body resulting in very concentrated urine to keep more water in the blood.
  • FINALLY SOME WATER!!!
  • You can talk?
  • When was the last time i peed?
