So we are here in California and it is currently 134° F outside right now.
Oh boy, when I hold my ice cream it just melts in my hands in about 10 seconds, so this isn’t really a very good time to be outside right now.
You heard that right, this is mostly because of global warming.
There are multiple things you can do to help with global warming, and I think scientist Crug with a science PHD at the University of Chicago can explain.
Oh yeah, too add on what Crug was talking about, you can also use less energy since the power plants burn coal, oil, and gas to make energy and release carbon dioxide into the air.
Some of the things that you can do are using solar panels for energy.
The carbon dioxide makes the temperature of the Earth hotter, which Crug can now explain to you why.
The carbon dioxide in the air goes up into the atmosphere and traps heat from the sun, making the temperature hotter.
That makes sense why global warming occurs.
Adding on to Drew, even cows can increase the temperature of the Earth right now.
But how?
Also, power plants and factories are not the only reason why global warming occurs.
Well, the cows can produce methane, which releases carbon dioxide which traps heat, increasing the Earth’s temperature.
Very good to know, and we’ll be back with more after this advertisement.
