- One major theme of ''Monsters Are Due On Maple Street '' by Rod Sturling is that Find your own path (be independent ) and don't follow others. One example that supports this theme is when a woman said how come his car jumped up and started . This shows that women one said something and everyone didn't stop to think and just went up to Les Goodmen 's house as a mod then everyone just stared to follow each other .Another example that supports my theme charlie said oh Steve we better keep an eye on you to .This shows that Charlie you sound nervous Steve look out for you and that is his best friend. Then everyone was like Yeah then he said you Spend a lot of time in that basement Steve what are you on down there . Another example that supports this theme Is when Charlie was chased by the mob because he shot Pete Van Horn. He was scared so he said I know who it is, it's the boy Tommy. Charlie was just trying to get everyone off his back so he said it was the boy it was Tommy then everyone started chasing Tommy . In conclusion you should find your own path, be yourself and don't follow others.
