- unfortunately women's lives aren't easy, we barely have any rights. we are valued mainly as wives & mothers

-  wealth allows us to indulge our appetites for the finest servants, chefs, & resident philosophers, food/wine, home libraries, jewelry, entertainers, & bathing pools

- I could only dream of such a life, sweating it out in the city, we live in shabby, squalid houses that could collapse or burn at any moment.

- my life is horrible, I have no personal rights and I am regarded as the property of masters, I could be bought, sold, and mistreated at will and I'm unable to own property, enter into a contract, or legally marry.
