- Lily and Tom are both newlyweds, they live in a town where the sun had not been seen in years. The couple decided for their honeymoon that they were going to search for the sun.
- Climax
- Tom had told Lily's family that they were going to search for the sun, no one had faith in them, they joked and teased. This only made Tom more incouraged however, Lily was only discouraged.
- Falling Action
- Despite what Lily's family had said, they got on their scooter and head out. When they got in the Molesworth the engine died, which only meant they had to stay.
- Resolution
- Soon after setling in Molesworth, they met a guy named Mr.Noakes, he explained to them that there was a path and if he were them he would not go down it. However, Tom and Lily ignored his comments, found the path and followed it to a beatiful cotage.
- Tom and Lily were soon welcomed into the cottage, the couple gave the lady her purse and Tom proceeded to tell her that with all the walking they had done Lily's feet had blistered. The lady was beyoned excited to help and she told them to follow her, but as they were walking into the room Tom and Lily were both hit with a ray of sunshine.
- Lily and Tom made a decision of not letting Mr.Noakes know that the path led to sunshine, with the very short time that they spoke to him, they knew he would use it for money. With that they said their goodbyes and headed back to the town with no sunshine.
