- Pennies should be produced because they are a big piece of american history, because they were the first piece of U.S. currency to have a president on it.
- Pennies shouldn't be produced because, if you look at the production of a penny it costs 2.1 cents to make and distribute, so to make it they will need taxpayers money.
- Another reason why pennies shouldn't be banned is because a lot of people have been collecting pennies and also other coins and that has been a thing that their family might always do and if pennies stop getting produced then it will stop for everyone that does that.
- Another reason why pennies shouldn't be produced is because, if you think about it what would you buy with one cent, like there is nothing that you can buy with pennies so why keep them.
- My final reason for why pennies should be produced is because pennies are very important for keeping down the cost for things. So if you went to a restaurant and you payed for something then they would have to round to the nearest nickel if they weren't pennies so then you would pay 4 cents more each time you go to a restaurant and maybe other places.
- My final reason for why pennies shouldn't be produced is because pennies way too much. Pennies weigh 2.5 grams but if you were to have $1 worth of pennies then that would be 250 grams, while a dollar bill weighs just 1 gram.
