- (1861-1874) Civil war, This era deals with the impact of Tx annexation in 1845 til its efforts to secede from the U.S in 1861. The impact of the war, and the efforts to reshape Texas following the war by the military, federal, and state governments. This brought issues because the growth of slavery in tx. the individuals and events which demonstrate the social, political, and economic impact of the Civil Waron Texas, and the events and actions that constituted efforts to reconstruct Texas following the war.
- (1894-1935) This era deals with many oil discoveries in texas. Beginning with Corsicana in 1894. Through the east texas field development by 1935. The impact the oil had on the social, political, and economic development of texas and the world. Beaumonts population grew from 10,000 to 50,000 people in just months. It was an oil rush.
- (1929-1945) This era deals with the effects of the great depression on Texas beginning in 1929 caused by the stock market crashing in 1929. many Texans believed the state’s rural nature would insulate the region from the worst of the financial crisis. As the Nation's economy collapsed it would be clear that texas would suffer too.
