- Greg and Rowley are two middle school boys who are best friends for a few years now. They do almost everything together. They both live on Surrey Street on top of a hill. Greg lives higher up the hill which is a pain.
- Climax
- Rowley got inspired by Greg's diary so he decided to create one as well. Rowley knew that Greg would be mad at him for copying but, he didn't really care at the time. Until, one day Greg found out about his secret journal and he was furious.
- Falling Action
- Greg then thought of an idea on how to take advantage of this situation. Greg told Rowley to create his journal into a biography of Greg's life. Rowley agreed and they were happy again.
- Resolution
- Rowley began to think and write about some exciting events Greg and him experienced. Since Rowley and Greg do everything together there were not that many events that Greg did by himself. Rowley's favorite time they spent together was when they were having a huge snowball fight. It was a snowball fight against the bottom of Surrey Street and top of Surrey Street. Greg and Rowley where both on the top of Surrey Street so they were on their team.
- Rowley wrote about all the adventures him and Greg had and when he finished it and went to Greg's house to show him it. Greg was not happy because the biography was supposed to be about him not both of them. Well, Rowley was explaining that they do everything together but, Greg was not having it.
- Greg and Rowley talked about the situation and decided to come up with a compromise .They came up with many ideas like The Spooky Adventures of Greg and Rowley . They couldn't agree on one so Rowley decided to change Greg's biography into his own diary like how he wanted it to be. Later on he called it The Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid.
