- At first, the forest was like any average forest, with its brown trees and dirt. The brown birds were naturally more fit for this environment because of their ability to camouflage in the forest, while the white birds stuck out like a sore thumb to predators

- Often, only the brown backed birds are able to safely reproduce due to their adaptation to the environment. However, the occasional white bird is still made due to genetic mutation. While the brown bird's population flourishes, the white birds are getting hunted by predators like eagles.

- Recently, however, the climate of the forest had been decreasing in temperature, to the point where it was starting to snow throughout the forest. The white birds are more adapted to this newer environment, and are able to survive much more in it, while the brown birds are not adapted to this, and are starting to become easier and easier prey for predators.

- Let's look for some easy food.
- It will be very hard for the eagle to find us, everything is ok.
- As the amount of snow continues to grow, so does the white bird population. They are able to get to the point where they can reproduce, and their numbers are growing. The brown birds are being forced into living in the dangerous snowy lands, where they now stick out like a sore thumb to predators
- This new environment is really good for me!
- It is becoming easier and easier for the eagles to eat me!
- We can hide easily now!
- It had gotten to the point where the brown birds were almost never able to hide from predators now due to not being adapted to the land. The white birds are able to safely reproduce and grow their population now, with far less worry about predators, and with the help of natural selection, the brown backed bird population were becoming minuscule.
- I can't hide anymore!
- More easy food!
- Oh how the tables have turned
- Now, almost no more brown birds were reproducing, and the only ones that were coming about were from genetic mutations out of white bird reproduction. With the now fully covered forest, the brown birds cannot camouflage almost anywhere, and predators can easily hunt them down. Meanwhile the white birds, being adapted to the snow, can easily hide from predators if near almost anywhere.
