- january, it was a bitter winter and they have to rebuild the windmill but they fall short of food.
- SCENE 4
- The animals work to rebuild the windmill (which was broken in a storm) through a harsh and stormy winter, well aware that the human world is watching and waiting for their failure.
- SCENE 5
- Napoleon is always right !
- The hens rebel by laying their eggs on the rafters so that the eggs hatch on the ground. Napoleon then stops the hens' rations. Nine hens die, supposedly of coccidiosis, during the five-day strike, after which the hens give up.
- SCENE 6
- NO MORE BEASTS OF ENGLAND!

- some animals begin to confess so napoleon tells the dogs to kill the animals. Among those animals are 4 pigs who confess that they collaborated with Snowball in the destruction of the windmill and planned to help Mr. Frederick to overcome Animal Farm, then 3 hens confess that Snowball incited them to rebel in a dream vision. After this, other animals confess crimes

- One day, Napoleon gathered the animals, he said that Snowball was (since the beginning) on the same side with Jon
- Clover guides the animals by singing Beasts of England.Suddenly, Squealer arrives with some dogs and forbids the animals to sing the anthem, since Napoleon has forbidden it. He explains that the Rebellion is now over with the slaughter of the infidels and that, being a Rebellion song, Beasts of England has no further purpose.
