- My aunt will be down presently, Mr. Nuttel, in the meantime you must try and put up with me.
- What should I say? My sister said they were quite nice, I wonder if Mrs, Stappelton is nice
- Do you know many of the people round here?
- Hardly a soul, My sister was staying here, at the rectory, you know, some four years ago, and she gave me letters of introduction to some of the people here.
- It is quite warm for the time of the year, but what has that window got anything to do with the tragedy?
- Then you know practically nothing about my aunt?

- You may wonder why we keep that window wide open on an October afternoon
- Well, 3 years ago her husband and 2 younger brothers went out for a day of shooting but never returned . They were trapped by a bog that swallowed them and their bodies were never recovered. My poor aunt still thinks they will be back someday as well as our brown spainial they had with them. thats why the windows open she thinks they'll walk back in. just like her younger brother used to singing Bertie, why do you bound? sometimes I get a creepy feeling about it
