- - Damascus, Syria before the war. In this scene, the family are going back home from the mall. The father and the mother are talking about the father's company and how its succeeding quickly.
- Alhamdullilah always Karim!
- Karim, the news is saying that a war is going to occur here in Syria and everyone is leaving. What should we do?
- I do not know. I do not trust the media. Everything seems fine.
- The war broke, shelling went for hours, innocent people are dying, buildings are being destroyed. It is a disaster.
- We have to escape as soon as possible, tonight!
- The family fled the country at night leaving behind their home, their relatives, their belongings, their business looking for a safe place to settle in. They were scared, angry, and sad.
- The family reached the UK without any means for a living. After being rich and happy in their country, they became poor immigrants living off the street. The father decided to rise up again and to make a good living for his family by starting a simple falafel shop representing a small part of the Syrian heritage.

- The idea was a success. Both, rich and poor enjoyed the tasty sandwich. Sales grew fast. Karim's family got out of poverty and managed to live a decent life in London. This hardship taught them positivity and risk-taking. This experience shaped their personality and way of thinking.
