- Oh no! He got bitten by a dog? Calm down mare, my kids were bitten by dogs too. I just told them to wash it and push out the blood so that way the rabies virus won't enter the bloodstream. I also tell them to rub in a clove of garlic. Garlic is good for viruses, they have antibacterial properties, it's what I read from the internet. No need to spend money on expensive vaccines, my family has been doing this tradition for years.
- But Mare, it is advised by a doctor to get treated with anti-rabies and antitetanic shots. It's proven and tested by doctors. According to World Health Organization, Rabies vaccines are highly effective, safe and well tolerated. We should follow medical procedures mare to avoid health issues and possibly prevent death. Rabies are deadly, so it's best we cure it as early as possible. A lot of people have died from the neglect of the virus. I don't want to put my kids at risk.

These are the measures we have to take in order to prevent the lethal effects of the virus:Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is the emergency response to a rabies exposure. This prevents the virus from entering the central nervous system, which would invariably result in death. PEP consists of:extensive washing with water and soap for at least 15 minutes and local treatment of the wound as soon as possible after a suspected exposure;a course of potent and effective rabies vaccine that meets WHO standards; and the administration of rabies immunoglobulin or monoclonal antibodies into the wound, if indicated.
