- This is when Mia is telling her mom and dad that she is able to see things in the air. She is very nervous to tell her parents though because she doesn't think they will believe her. She thinks they will just tell her to ignore it or will ignore it themselves. Her parents were very shocked and confused when they heard the news. They couldn't even speak.
- Mom, Dad, I have to tell you something. I see color and shapes when I hear sounds, look at letters, or when I smell things. I don't even know what it is!
- Oh my goodness! What are we gonna do??
- This is when Mia got home from Jerry, her doctor's, office after finding out she has synesthesia. Jerry had given her a paper with the name of a website where Mia could talk to other people with synesthesia. She met a boy named Adam and talked to him all the time.. She loved that she could finally talk to someone who is going through the same thing she was.

- I finally met someone who also has synesthesia that I can talk to!
- This is when Mia was in the helicopter witnessing her cat's death. Mia was very upset. This traumatic experience cause Mia to lose her colors. However, she got them back eventually.
