- The Son and the father are playing chess and the son just beat the father.
- Rising Action
- The father and the mother are being told about the monkey's paw by the Sargent and the Sargent is telling them that the paw can grant 3 wishes and there comes a consiquence with each wish and they are laughing because they think its a joke.
- Climax
- The father is going to wish for 200 pounds.
- Falling Action
- There is a strange man outside and he has the 200 pounds but he is not sure if he should knock on the door but finally he does the family lets the man in and the father gets the 200 pounds.
- The mother and the father are sad because their son died because he fell into a machine that crunched him as a consiquense of wishing with the monkey's paw.
- The mother is going crazy because she wished for her son to come back and there was a knock on the door and she was trying really hard to open the door but when she did no one was there because the father wished him away because of how he would have looked because she wished for him back as he is and not how he used to look.
