MIKE: Fania E. Davis conveys trauma, suffering and empowermeent through social justice genre in a more impactful way than Ibram X Kendi, as Davis uses personal narrative and poetic prose to create a visceral experience for the reader, while Kendi's academic approach to genre often creates a sense of detachment from the subject matter.
