- I heard her tooth got knocked out
- WILL DON'T JUST STAND THERE GET OVER HERE!

- After girl scouts Raina's friend wants to race her to her house but Raina trips and falls face first. This cause her two front teeth to break. So her mom had to rush her to the orthodontist's office, in order to fix her teeth she has to have an emergency surgery. Raina wakes up in her bed with a cast on her two front teeth.
- ONE...TWO...
- After taking some time off school Raina came back to school feeling self-conscious. Somehow everyone had found out what happened and they all started to tease her and call her names. The bullying and the very strict recovery process got Raina very frustrated and stressed.
- Hey!
- This is Raina!
- A Major earthquake hits San Francisco this was an unforgettable moment in Raina's life. Raina's dad was still at work and the power had gone out. They all went outside to check on their neighbors everyone was out on their porches. Later they had gotten the news that a the earthquake caused a whole bridge to collapse and Raina's mom couldn't contact her dad.

- Later on Raina finds out her friends aren't really her friends. One day at lunch one of her friends mocks Raina for excessive amount of dental supplies she kept in her bag so Raina walks away from the situation. Soon after her friends pulled a prank on that would humiliate her in front of the whole school.
- After the incident at lunch Raina leaves her old friend group and meets Thresa who introduces her to her friend group. This new friend group treats her with respect and encourages her to take her artistic abilities to a new level. Later on Raina begins to worry about her teeth again but with her new friends by her side she doesn't feel that way. Now Raina has gained a lot more confidence.
- It's Sophomore year Raina finally gets her braces off and Raina paints the posters for the Sophomore Hop (school dance). She finally starts to care more about her passions and not about how she looks. She arrives to the dance without caring about what other people think.
