  • Hey there! Today I am going to tell you about different ways to help lower your risk of getting cancer. Lets start out with one of the most obvious ones...
  • Do not use tobacco products and try to limit you alcohol consumption if not cut it out completely. Both of these factors can increase your risk of getting cancer.
  • Smoking in front of other people, especially your kids or other kids, can raise their risk of getting cancer, too!
  • Another way to lower your risk of getting cancer is by getting enough physical activity! It helps to keep you healthy and keep your cells busy in your body. It can also help your immune system.
  • Eating foods high in sugar or nitrates can raise your risk of getting cancer. This can include foods that are highly salted, pickled, or smoked. Eating these foods every so often (maybe once or twice a month) wont hurt but eating them multiple times a week will raise your risk.
  • This is something that we, personally, cannot control; however, consuming environmental pollutants can also raise the risk of getting cancer. Work places such as factories or mines can cause pollutants.
  • However, that is all the time we have for today. Hope you learned some new things today, goodbye! Stay cancer free!
  • And one of the last things I am going to list is radiation. Radiation from your nuclear power plant, natural radiation (such as the sun), etc. All of these can raise your risk of getting cancer. One way to help prevent yourself from the suns radiation is consistently putting on sunscreen, especially if you´re going to be in the sun for long periods of time.
