  • Starting in the September of 1793, the Reign of Terror purged/eradicated enemies of the French Revolution and protect the country from invading foreigners, and ended one year later due to the fall of Maximilien Robespierre. About fourty-thousand people were sent to the guillotine in this time period.

  • The Battle of Waterloo is where Napoleon is defeated, ending the Napoleon Wars and ending his title as the Emperor of France. Napoleon was exiled to Elba.He escaped Elba by sailing back to France. The Napoleon Wars resulted in needed societal changes, which would end the French Revolution.
