- Yes, the first step is that we would have to distribute the 2 so the new equation would be 8x - 6- 8= 4+ 2x

- First, we will do 8x-2x which will give you 6x. Then you will do 14=4 to get it to the other side which will get you 18 so the equation now is 6x = 18
- Okay How do I do that with the equation we have?
- Okay, so the next step is that we have to combine the like terms which is -6 -8 which would give you -14. The new equation is8x - 14 = 4 + 2x

- Good question Hassan, Next we will have to do inverse operations to get one number on each side of the equation.
