After Vera Claythorne shot Mr. Lombard she went to her room and hung herself. Justice Wargrave stated, " It was an interesting psychological experiment. Would the consciousness of her own guilt, the state of nervous tension consequent on having just shot a man, be sufficient, together with the hypnotic suggestion of the surroundings, to cause her to take her own life?"
After Wargave witnessed Vera killing herself he went back to finishing up the summery of how he got away with murder. He explains how he killed each and every person. He also says his plan; that he will write the letter and put in in a bottle and then through it into the ocean, so he can still take credit for his work without getting any consequences. He does this so for a while no one will know what happened on Indian Island.
Justice Lawrence Wargrave then goes into detail on how he is going to kill himself so its the perfect murder, and how the police don't know who the real killer was. Wargrave says that he will go into his bed and in his eyeglasses is an elastic cord that he will tie around the door and attach the revolver to it. He will then cover the revolver in a handkerchief and then pull the trigger. So then the handkerchief will fall ,the gun will go to the door and fall, and then he will be just laying on his glasses.
