WE HAVE NEEDED TO COME TOGETHER AND CHANGE THIS. OUR PEOPLE CANNOT LIVE THIS WAY.
WE MUST FIGHT. WE WILL BE HEARD.
WE HAVE BEEN NEGLECTED AND ABUSED. THAT IS WHY I'VE CREATED THE AIM. I WILL MAKE SURE WE ARE HEARD.
IIN THE LATE 1960'S, NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES CONTINUED TO FACE SOCIAL AND SYSTEMIC INJUSTICES. AIM was founded in 1968 to address the systemic mistreatment of Native peoples (Kehoe, 1992, 134).

WE MUST LIVE WITH DIGNITY, ON OUR OWN
AIM WANTED TO FIGHT FOR FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR THEIR NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES We don't want handouts. We want to live with dignity. (O'Hara, 2018).

THROUGH UNITY AND THE SPREAD OF AWARENESS, MANY CAME TO SUPPORT THE CAUSE, AND BRING NATIONAL ATTENTION TO THE NATIVE AMERICANS' GOALS. THEY WERE FINALLY HEARD.
