While the Polyphemus was crying, he realized when awizard Telemus, son of Eurymus told the Polyphemus that someone was going to blind him and it was going to be Odysseus. After what the wizard told Polyphemus, he starts to think about who this Odysseus was.

Polyphemus was seeking to find where Odysseus was at and wanted to get revenge for the actions he did. Polyphemus knew he couldn't see so he threatens Odysseus and his men that he will call onto the god of earthquake toavenge for what Odysseus did. Odysseus is a stubborn man that he risked his men and his life just to talk back to Cyclops. Odysseus decided to tell Polyphemus that he would have taken his life and that the god of earthquake wouldn't be able to heal him.

The Polyphemus reaches his point where he was so angry. He started praying to Poseidon and he asks Posedian to wish bad luck on Odysseus. Odysseus knew he was doomed.

Odysseus killed the remaining of the Polyphemus flocks by burning it and make a sacrifice to Zeus.When Odysseus makes a sacrifice to Zeus,Zeus disdained the sacrifice because he wants death for Odysseus and his crew.
